Korean Council for University Education (KCUE)
An assessment and ranking of universities was carried out by the Korean Council for University Education [1], an umbrella group for Korean four-year universities, and published by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources [2] in 2005. The report and rankings were based on the University General Assessment, a series of inspections carried out in 2004. This ranking represents the first time the ministry has made such information publicly available.
The evaluation considered management, student/faculty ratio, research performance, and student satisfaction. It was conducted across three fields of study: mechanical engineering; biology and biotechnology; and mass communications, advertising and public relations.
