2015 set a new and troubling record: For the first time ever, an estimated 60 million people were displaced from their homes by war, conflict, and persecution. At the same time, oil prices crashed to a 12-year low [1], and oil-dependent nations around the globe saw their economies come to a halt. In each case, tertiary students have suffered greatly [2], either due to lack of documentation, or to the sudden loss of financial backing that has helped to finance their studies.
