Webinar Description:

Since the beginning of the 2000s, the Bologna Process has expanded from the European Union towards neighboring regions and the Bologna Declaration has by now been signed by 47 countries. In addition, an increasing number of countries have shown their interest in the process by implementing most of its recommendations and tools on a voluntary basis and by making it a major policy goal at national level, without officially joining the intergovernmental process. As a result of this implementation, Central Asia has experienced a process of wide spread educational transformation. In this webinar, WES will survey the educational restructuring and documentation trends of select countries in Central Asia to help you make the best admissions decision possible when reviewing applications from the region.

Topic Covered:

  • Understand the structure of the educational systems in select countries in Central Asia
  • Determine what constitutes a recognized academic institution and program
  • Understand the impact of the Bologna Process
  • Identify how to collect and authenticate international academic credentials

Registration is limited to participants representing colleges or universities.

Presenter:
PresenterBeka Tavartkiladze, Assistant Director and Head of Evaluation Services at World Education Services

Beka has been evaluating international academic credentials for over 10 years and specializes in the educational systems of Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union, concentrating on issues of documentation authenticity and verification.
