China: Education Company Buys School in Florida in First of Its Kind Deal

The China-based Newopen Group, which operates three universities and a network of primary and secondary schools in China, has purchased the Florida Preparatory Academy in Melbourne, a community near Orlando. The move is in line with increased focus among Chinese parents among preparing an ever-younger cadre of students to obtain admission to colleges and universities in the U.S.
